According to a report from Realtor.com, Whitney Cummings, who’s most famous for being a director, writer, and a comedian, is looking to cash in on a property in Los Angeles’ Studio City neighborhood. Eight years ago, Cummings bought the home for $1,484,725, and recently put it up for sale for around $2 million.
Michael Collins, the listing agent for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, stated that the home is at the “end of a peaceful cul-de-sac,” referring to the house as a “private architectural paradise.” If Whitney manages to sell the home for the price she wants, the comedian will walk away with $600,000 approximately before taxes.
Regardless of whether she gets what she wants for the home or not, 2011 was a tremendous year for Cummings. Around that time, Whitney, who was working with Michael Patrick King, got her very first television show on the air, 2 Broke Girls, which was supposedly based on her life experiences.
Whitney, who’s now 37-years-old, has seen her career continue to improve, including through several comedy specials as well as her upcoming Netflix special called Can I Touch It?
Fans of the comedienne know that Whitney is a frequent guest on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, which has quickly become the biggest podcast available, with millions of viewers and listeners regularly.
Moreover, Whitney is a re-occurring guest on The Fighter And The Kid podcast hosted by the two stand-up comedians and ex-UFC fighter, Bryan Callen and Brendan Schaub.
Previously, Whitney also worked with Roseanne Barr on the set of the latter’s eponymous television show which was later canceled due to Roseanne’s Twitter habits. As it was formerly reported, Roseanne tweeted that a former presidential aide to Barack Obama was a mixture of “Planet Of The Apes” and the “Muslim Brotherhood.
< Speaking with reporters from The Daily Beast, Whitney explained why she chose to leave the talk show shortly before Roseanne accidentally torpedoed the production. Roseanne later sold the rights to the television show so ABC could create the spin-off, The Conners.
