Actor Richard Gere, 69, and his wife, Alejandra Silva, 35, may have already been parents of kids from previous relationships but now, they also share a baby of their own! Alejandra gave birth earlier this month, Hola magazine reports.

The happy couple did not waste any time starting a family with one another! They tied the knot last year, and also in 2018 they announced their pregnancy! The bundle of joy has two half-siblings that are apparently just as excited to welcome the baby to the family.

That being said, Alejandra’s son named Albert is 5 years old, while Richard’s son, Homer is 18! Of course, they have done this before but becoming parents and dealing with the challenges of parenthood together is definitely going to be very fun. Their pregnancy announcement was as epic as they come since none other than the Dalai Lama was involved!

The happy couple posted a pic of the Dalai Lama and Richard keeping one hand on her stomach, in a ritualistic blessing. In the caption, Alejandra wrote: ‘A very special moment just a few minutes ago… Getting blessings for our precious to come. We couldn’t say it before telling HH Dalai Lama.’

As fans may be aware, the actor and his beloved wife have been open about their Buddhist beliefs so that was certainly a very special moment for them. It’s super cool that they got to tell the Dalai Lama before sharing the big news with the rest of the world! Meanwhile, their relationship seems #goals judging by the new mother of two’s social media posts and the arrival of their baby is sure to make their love even stronger.
