Last Man Standing actress Molly McCook married Broadway star John Krause on Saturday. The couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends at Santa Barbara Zoo in California.
“When John was on the road, we would visit every zoo in each city. We have the most fun together, and no one makes me laugh like John,” McCook said explaining why they choose to get hitched at the zoo to People magazine.
Krause elaborated on his new wife’s sentiment by further explaining why a zoo was the perfect location for them to say, “I Do.”
“Our whole relationship has been about sharing adventures, and we’re so excited to begin this new adventure in such an ideal location surrounded by friends and family. Ocean to the west and the mountains to the east. I couldn’t think of a more perfect spot to say ”I do,” the actor expressed to the weekly magazine.
The beautiful bride wore an ethereal wedding gown by Liz Martinez, but it was not her first choice. McCook admits she chose a different dress but then had what she called “wedding dress nightmare dreams” and decided to go back to get the gown she wore.
“It’s fairy-like with layers of sparkle that look like branches. It’s perfect to get married in at the zoo!” she shared of her final dress choice.
There were several of McCook’s famous friends there to watch her become a married lady. The Bold Type’s Kat Stevens was a bridesmaid, as was singer Betty Who. Good Trouble’s Maia Mitchell, along with Last Man Standing stars Christoph Sanders and Amanda Fuller were there to witness McCook’s special day.
It is not the famous friends, the venue or the fancy attire that the newlyweds have been looking forward to the most. They are each excited for their new titles of husband and wife.
“Husband and wife means partners for life. Forever with him excites me the most!” the bride admitted.
The Broadway star likes the idea of being able to call McCook his wife. “It’s such a simple thing, but I’m really looking forward to referring to Molly as ”my wife.’ It’s such a beautiful thing, and the love and commitment associated with that word encapsulate everything I feel for her,” Krause revealed.
Molly McCook married her long-time love, John Krause, this weekend. Anyone who follows these two on social media knows they are head over heels for each other. Congrats to the newlyweds!
