Brad Pitt might have a good reason for keeping his new romance with Charlize Theron tightly under wraps. With Pitt’s romance heating up, the actor is allegedly keeping it a big secret because he fears how Angelina Jolie will react to the news.

An inside source claims that Pitt is doing everything in his power to avoid causing trouble with Jolie, even if that means not going public with his new relationship. The news comes shortly after Pitt and Theron reportedly shared some PDA inside the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles a few weeks ago.

“[Pitt and Theron are] trying their best to keep their relationship a secret to avoid drama with Angie,” the insider dished. Pitt and Jolie have been locked in a bitter custody battle the past three years and only recently reached a custody agreement. The two have yet to settle the rest of their divorce, which is why Pitt is trying to appease Jolie the best he can.

To make things worse, Jolie has no love for Theron. According to Radar Online, the women have been feuding for several years over their careers in Hollywood. Jolie has reportedly tried to sabotage Theron’s career by going for the same movie roles.

Pitt has not confirmed the dating rumors, but we can only image how Jolie would react if she found out he was romantically involved with her rival.

Despite the rumors, a source close to the actor says he is not dating Theron. The insider revealed that Pitt and Theron worked on a project together last year but they have not gone out since. The source claims the dating rumors are completely false.

Insiders previously claimed that Theron’s ex, Sean Penn, was the one who introduced them. Penn and Theron dated a few years ago and were even engaged to be married at one point. The pair ended their engagement in 2015.

Charlize Theron has not publicly dated anyone since her engagement to Penn. Instead, the actress has been focused on her career, which includes roles in Atomic Blonde and Fate of the Furious.

Brad Pitt was most recently seen at a tribute concert for his late friend Chris Cornell and hosting a screening for the Oscar nominated film If Beale Street Could Talk.
