Fans of the iconic comedy will be happy to find out that there may be a sequel in the works no less than 15 years after the original’s premiere! That’s right, Terry Crews has just confirmed that a brand new White Chicks is going to happen!

While a guest on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live, the actor revealed the big news, much to the excitement of diehard fans.

When one caller asked about a reboot, he did not hesitate to say: ‘I actually got with Shawn [Wayans] and he was like ‘Man we doing it, we’re getting it going.’ 15 years ago as of this month! I’m staying in shape just for this movie.’

As you can imagine, it did not take long at all for people to react to the huge reveal. A lot of users on social media freaked out about this.

Here are a few of the excited comments: ‘No freakin way, I’ve been waiting for ages for a sequel!!!.’ / ‘!!!!!!!!! There’s a White Chicks sequel in the making.’

At the same time, there were some people who mentioned something pretty relevant as well.

One argued that ‘White chicks only worked in that era. Doesn’t need a sequel,’ referring to the race and gender-identity implications of the narrative in the PC culture era.

While there is no doubt that the 2004 movie is full of nostalgia, the response from the general public may not be so positive in 2019 and after because of that.

After all, it features two male African-American FBI agents who disguise themselves as white women for an undercover case.

Making a non-offensive film based around that main plot would be very difficult today.

Still, we’ll just have to wait and see how they approach this in the sequel. Are you excited or not?
