It was a function that pulled out the mostest as Meghan Markle - Duchess of Sussex - had her royal baby shower in the Manhattan borough of an upscale hotel in New York. The private fête that was held in a penthouse, saw several celebrity guests in attendance -her 'Suits' co-star Abigail Spencer, designer Misha Nonoo, stylist and best pal Jessica Mulroney, Gayle King, actress Janina Gavankar and Taryn Toomey. Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, who cut a stylish figure in a red jumpsuit with heels, was also present. The two-day celebrations were said to be hosted by Meghan's pal - tennis ace Serena Williams and Amal, and a source told a site that they had ensured all of Meghan's favourites were present at the lavish baby shower, from the food to the music and the flowers.

It was a packed schedule for the Duchess as ahead of the function as she was spotted leaving for another hotel to have lunch with Abigail. Over the weekend she was also seen visiting a French bakery and restaurant and bakery in SoHo that she is said to like.

Post the baby shower, the royal mom-to-be was seen leaving the hotel in more casual wear - she donned a camel-coloured coat, black athletic shirt and leggings, sneakers, sunglasses and a baseball cap. As per a site, the total cost of the shower was said to be a staggering $83,665.50!
